Ultimate Home Detox Guide Review
This post is my honest review of the Ultimate Home Detox Guide written by Kimberly Button.
Creating a home free of toxins can be a super overwhelming proposition. Going through all the personal care, cleaning, and food products is enough to drive you bonkers but what about all the other things in your home.
What about the paint and the flooring and the furniture and the air and the water and the list goes on forever.
There is so much information on the internet, it’s hard to know where to start and how to make sure you cover everything.
This is where The Ultimate Home Detox Guide is like your knight in shining armor. Swooping in to keep you focused, on track and make sure you don’t miss some potential sources of harmful toxins in your home.

My Ultimate Home Detox Guide Review is going to help you understand not only what’s in the Guide, how much it costs and who the author is but also who I think it would be good for, pros and cons of the Guide and immediate wins it’s given me.
What is The Ultimate Home Detox Guide
The Ultimate Home Detox Guide is a blueprint you can follow to understand what hidden toxins may be lurking in your home and harming your health.
It is 16 chapters and when I say chapters, I’m not talking 50 pages each, don’t worry, you’re not sitting down to read War and Peace.
Rather than a guide that you would download and maybe print like an ebook, this Guide is laid out like an online course that you can easily move through as you have the time.
It’s packed full of information that will help us understand why our homes may be so unhealthy and why they may be the source of many health problems.
Kimberly includes easily implemented tips as well as downloadable shopping guides that will set you up for success going forward. My favorite is the list of house plants.

Who Would Benefit From The Guide
If you’re like me and don’t have the time or desire to spend hours scouring the web for information on things like how to choose a safer flooring option or how to get rid of mold in your house, this Guide is for you.
If you are in the beginning stages of a home remodel or a new home build and want to make your home a healthy safe haven for yourself and your family, this Guide is for you.
If you’re tired of feeling like crap or tired of struggling with unresolved health issues and looking to uncover the source of the issue rather than treating the symptoms, this Guide is for you. (Always check with your doctor, we’re not giving medical advice here).
You may be harming your health with everyday products without even realizing.
While the Guide covers things that you generally do as part of a home remodel or new home build, there is plenty of information to guide you on making small changes around the home.
Things like paint and water filters and indoor plants and air purifiers and air fresheners. Easy wins!
How Much Does it Cost
You’re probably thinking if I’m going to detox my home, the guide that tells me how to do it is going to cost a fortune. Surprisingly, it’s so affordable, it’s only $27. It’s less than a dinner out with the family.
Pros of The Guide
Before you even really get started, Kimberly tells you that you don’t have to do everything all at once and in fact, you don’t have to do everything.
I think sometimes we get so overwhelmed thinking if we don’t do IT ALL we won’t make progress or find success. In fact, that is not true and it’s nice to be given that permission from the get go!
Pros of the Ultimate Home Detox Guide:
- Well thought out, logical progression
- Sections easily labeled so you can remember what you learned where if you have to come back later
- Shares the why of the problem as well as offering solutions
- Easy, quick wins that won’t cost a fortune
- Handy shopping guides that are easily downloaded and saved for later
At the time I am writing this, I have been looking to bring houseplants into my home for probably years (I can be a slow action taker).
How many times have you made a list of 5 or 6 choices only to get to the store and none of those choices are available?
Frustrating right?
This is what keeps happening to me when I go to buy houseplants. A list of 50 houseplants is included in the course, I’ve now got it saved on my phone so next time I go to the plant nursery, I’ll come home with a plant!
We also happen to be in the process of repainting the main level of our home. Well, we’ve been talking about this for years (remember I said we are slow action takers).
This Guide has saved hours that I would have spent researching paint companies to find a safe paint. All we need to decide on are the colors.
Cons of The Guide
Like I mentioned earlier, this Guide is presented in a format more like an online course in that it’s not a downloadable ebook or PDF so I almost expected it to have some videos but there aren’t any.
For me, that’s totally fine but if you’re expecting to see the information presented in video form, this Guide won’t have it. Perhaps that’s why it’s called a guide.
While the Guide is focused on environmental toxins (and clearly states so on the sales page) apparently my brain was expecting more.
I was a bit surprised that there weren’t any sections on spotting and removing chemicals in things like cleaning products, personal care products, food, etc but no worries, I’ve got that information for you.
How to Identify Toxic Chemicals in Personal Care Products
Cleaning Products Safe Enough for Kids to Use
Harmful Food Additives to Avoid
Should You Buy It
Honestly, I don’t see any reason not to. You can spend hours, well, honestly months searching the web trying to find all this information or you can plop down $27 and get started making your home healthier today.
What is your biggest struggle when it comes to making your home a safe, healthy environment?
