Hey Mama (and Pops!),
I see you out there, concerned about your kids, pets, family but overwhelmed by all the information you’ve been reading and hearing about the need to eliminate the harsh chemicals from your home. Chemicals in food, chemicals in cleaning products, GMO’s, organic this and that, plastic in the ocean, should you be recycling? The list just keeps growing and your heads about to explode!
You want to make the best choices for your family but quite honestly, you aren’t sure what those choices should be and will it really make a difference? And good grief, how much is it going to cost?
No time to read now? Pin it for later.
I know how you feel. I’ve been there and full disclosure, I’m still trying to figure it all out.
My daughter lives in a very black and white world, there is no gray area in her life. When she and I talk about food choices or personal care product choices, it’s very difficult for her to understand things are not simply 100% good or 100% bad for us. We have to weigh the risks and the benefits and then decide. So far trying to have a logical conversation with a tween has been a bit of a struggle for me.
Grab some coffee, come on over and let’s take it step by step. Rome wasn’t built in a day, we’re not going to figure this all out overnight.
This is the beginning of a series aimed at sharing with you, the information I use to eliminate the harsh chemicals and make the best choices for my family. So now you’re thinking, awesome, what’s she going to cover? Well, I’m so glad you asked.
This is what I’ve got on tap, and speaking of taps, maybe we should just grab a beer one night and sort through it all. Seriously though,
What’s the deal with cleaning products? eliminate the harsh chemicals chemical free life
What’s the deal with personal care products? eliminate harsh chemicals chemical free life
What about the food in my pantry? eliminate harsh chemicals chemical free life

What’s the deal with refusing and no, I’m not talking about your toddler who won’t put his underwear on!
And good lord, how do I teach my kids all this?
I know it seems like it might just be easier to bury your head in the sand but obviously you’re better than that because you’ve read this far. I tell ya, once you start learning about these things, your conscious gets the better of you and you are compelled to make better choices. I realize that that’s a subjective statement but you get what I’m saying.
I’m a true believer in making changes slowly. They are much more likely to stick when you go slow. Did you make a New Year’s resolution? How long did it last?
I want to help you along your journey. Help you weed through the information, assess your current lifestyle and how you can make small changes that work for your family. I will share the choices that my family has made in all these different areas and share what I’ve learned along the way, then you can decide what makes sense for your family, deal?
