They solve the age old problem of how to have a healthy lifestyle!
Can you have a healthy toxin freeish home but shovel crap food in your mouth? Or could you fuel your body with the nutrition it needs but clean your home with toxic chemicals and put toxic personal care products on your body?
If you’re concerned about the harsh chemicals lurking in cleaning and personal care products (among other things) then doesn’t it make sense that you should be intentional about what foods you are feeding your body and vice versa?

What Are You Feeding Your Family?
How do you develop a healthy lifestyle? Don’t put crap in your body.
Seriously, don’t they say offense is the best defense? I’m by no means a nutritionist or dietician or have any sort of training beyond Google but I think I’ve learned enough to at least know that if we shove garbage food into our mouths on a regular basis, good health isn’t something we’re going to enjoy.
Fess up, are you a label reader? So much of our grocery store food is loaded with crap. Maybe that’s why there are always coupons.
Sure there are some people who you wonder how in the world they are still standing. They eat crap all the time, never exercise, practically bathe in bleach yet, they live to be 100. I don’t know how that happens but having already had two forms of cancer before I was 40, I’m fairly certain that wouldn’t be my luck.
I’m definitely not perfect and don’t claim to be. I can easily be persuaded by the candy bars at the grocery store check out just like anyone else. It’s hard to break old habits but one thing that’s worked well for me is to find a healthier substitute.
I love these Perfect Bars – The Original Refrigerated Protein Bar, you find them in the refrigerator section of most major grocery stores. I get one every Sunday when I grocery shop, it’s a little treat for me because well, I had to do the grocery shopping and shouldn’t I get a prize?

What Are You Putting on Your Body?
How do you develop a healthy lifestyle? Don’t put crap on your body.
Are you a personal care product label reader? If not, you should be. What you slap on your skin gets absorbed and right into your blood stream it goes.
Our government isn’t regulating the ingredients going into personal care products and hasn’t passed any legislation since 1938, that’s almost 100 years! Think of how much has changed in the past 20 years, let alone 100.
According to the Environmental Working Group, the average adult puts 126 unique chemical ingredients on their skin each day….we need to know what we’re putting onto and into our bodies because it all adds up.

What Are You Cleaning Your Home With?
How do you develop a healthy lifestyle? Don’t clean with chemical crap.
You know what I’m about to ask, are you reading those cleaning product labels? If you’re not, you should be. How many times have you sprayed something and practically choked, ya, me too. We’ve all been there.
Just like personal care products, cleaning products aren’t regulated by the government BUT the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) does require manufacturers to list any potentially harmful or active disinfectants. Well thank goodness for that.
Not so fast, manufacturers don’t have to prove their products are safe unless the EPA can show that the products pose a health risk. I would prefer that products containing lord knows how many chemicals were proven safe before lining the store shelves. Wouldn’t you?
How To Develop a Healthy Lifestyle
My recommendation is to just do it all! But not all at once. In order to have a truly healthy lifestyle, you need to be mindful of the foods and drinks you consume, the products you put into your body and the products you use to take care of your home.
Is there room for slacking? Sure there is. No one is perfect, you’ve got to educate yourself and find the balance that works for you and your family.
Thankfully, there are so many resources available these days ya know, with the internet and all.
One great resource that’s available FREE (holla!) for a limited time is the Five to Flourish Health Habit Trackers. It’s a free downloadable PDF that has a bunch of different healthy habits you can establish with simple easy tasks each day.
From having a balanced and more productive day to getting better, more restorative sleep, to maintaining a healthy mindset, to encouraging lifelong healthy eating habits for your kids, there are 12 topics to choose from or do them all!
